Auto Repair in Wellington, CO
Wellington, CO
The town of Wellington, Colorado, is located in Larimer County, northeast of Fort Collins along Interstate 25. Wellington covers 3.4 square miles of land at an elevation of 5,200 feet, home to an estimated population of some 8,500 residents.
Founded in 1902 and incorporated in 1905, the town was named for C. L. Wellington, an employee of the Colorado and Southern Railroad. Wellington thrived In the early 20th century, especially during the prohibition years, as a place to drink and as a service town for drivers commuting between Cheyenne and Fort Collins. Today, welcome signs call Wellington “a great place to grow.” It was also recently rebranded as “Colorado’s Northern Gateway” for being the state’s northernmost town on I-25 before reaching the Wyoming border.
